Le Musée de l'Image Populaire possède un protocole concernant les propositions de don.
Ainsi, afin de savoir si nous sommes en mesure d’acquérir votre don, nous avons besoin de précisions en amont :
- Des visuels d’ensemble mais aussi de détails des différents éléments
- Des détails visibles sur l’état de conservation de l’ensemble, notamment s’il est abîmé
- Des détails sur la provenance (où avez-vous acquis l’ensemble ? de quelle façon ?)
- Des détails sur l’origine et l’utilisation (quelle fonction ? utilisation dans un contexte que vous connaissez ?)
Toutes ces informations sont précieuses et utiles : dans un premier temps, elles permettront de déterminer si l’entrée de l’objet dans nos collections est cohérente par rapport à notre politique d’acquisition et notre projet scientifique et culturel.
Si ce n’est pas le cas, nous serons dans l’obligation de décliner votre proposition de don.
Si c’est le cas, nous soumettrons alors dans un deuxième temps son intérêt scientifique, historique et patrimoniale à l’avis d’une commission de la Direction Régionale des Affaires Culturelles, laquelle se réunit trois fois par an. C’est alors qu’une convention de don sera signée entre le donateur et la municipalité.
